KidZdent is looking to add a Registered Dental Hygienist to our remarkable team of compassionate professionals!
KidZdent Pediatric Dental Care & Orthodontics in Old Bridge, NJ, is looking to add a dynamic Registered Dental Hygienist to our amazing team of professionals. As a Pediatric Dental Hygienist you would need to be skilled in establishing a positive and trusting relationship with patients that range in age from birth through college, including special needs children and special needs young adults. You will be responsible for promoting and educating about proper oral hygiene and good dietary habits in a fun, yet professional manner. You will conduct initial patient health screenings, perform prophylaxis and fluoride treatments, place preventive dental sealants, take digital radiographs, and practice the highest levels of infection control. You will be responsible for thorough, accurate chart notes and will do periodontal charting for our patients aged 16 and over. You will work together with a team of highly qualified dental hygienists, dental assistants, and pediatric dentists to decipher dental treatment needs, and to recognize and refer patients for orthodontic treatment. You should have a deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for recognizing oral diseases and anomalies. If you have a steady hand, a terrific bedside manner, and enjoy working with children, we would like to meet with you!
Requirements:
- Current Registered Dental Hygienists License
- Compassionate bedside manner and outgoing personality
- Great communication skills which will be used to establish trust and to educate patients
- The ability to conduct proper patient health screenings prior to treating
- The ability to identify dental treatment needs and orthodontic concerns
- Knowledge of oral diseases and anomalies
- Experience with digital radiographs
- Good computer skills – Dentrix experience is a plus
- Excellent written communication skills which will be used to properly and thoroughly enter patient chart notes in the Dentrix system
- An in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (HIPAA)
- Impeccable infection control practices
- The ability to work in a dynamic team environment
Days/hours available:
- Monday 8am – 7 pm (or 1pm- 7pm)
- Wednesday 1pm – 5pm
- Friday 8am – 5pm
- Saturday 8am -12pm
